402. Rafael Ortiz

Rafael has been bravely battling cancer for the past six years. He recently underwent surgery that resulted in a colostomy, and since then, his health has been steadily declining. He is becoming weaker each day, and unfortunately, his family knows his time with them is limited. The surgery he received may only give him a few more months before his condition worsens.

Before that time comes, the family is hoping to fulfill one of his final wishes. He does not ask for money, travel, or anything extravagant. His only wish is to have an adjustable king-size bed so he can sleep more comfortably and rest beside his wife. His body is in constant pain, and proper rest would mean so much to him and to his family during this difficult time.

Rafael’s wish has been granted and Stella’s Wish Foundation is sending him a queen adjustable bed from Ashley Furniture.

400. Daniel Webber

Dan was recently diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma-H3K27-M. He is a 39 year old dedicated husband and loving father to a 16-month old little boy. Our son, Dylan, named in loving honor of Dan’s younger brother who passed away in 2021, is a bright, happy, gentle little soul. He brings light into every room, proudly greeting everyone with his favorite words: “Hi!” and “Bye!”

His diagnosis is an aggressive brain cancer that rarely develops in adults. After experiencing sudden neurological symptoms, this diagnosis has changed everything. Dan is approaching it with hope, strength, and steady determination, supported closely by loved ones and a dedicated Neuro-Oncology team. Unfortunately, his tumor is Grade 4 and is inoperable and the only known effective prolongation is through radiation.

Stella’s Wish Foundation is helping their family of three travel from Maine to San Diego, CA to visit family.

397. Christopher Tapia

Christopher Tapia has been diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine tumor cancer. His wife submitted a wish because his condition has progressed significantly, and they are focusing on creating meaningful experiences together while he still feels well enough to travel.

One of his heartfelt wishes is to visit Washington, D.C. to see the Smithsonian museums, along with the monuments and memorials that hold such deep historical and personal meaning for him. He has always dreamed of standing at the Lincoln Memorial, exploring the National Mall, and experiencing the Smithsonian collections in person.

Denise said “This trip would give my husband a sense of joy, purpose, and connection during an incredibly difficult time. It would mean so much to our family to help him fulfill this wish.”

Stella’s Wish Foundation has granted their request and is sending Chris and Denise to Washington, D.C. to visit museums and monuments.
