384. Rhonda Wiegand

Rhonda Wiegand is courageously fighting a battle with carcinoma cancer in her liver. After a grueling journey of surgery, countless chemo treatments, and hospital stays, we rejoiced in a clean scan in August 2022. That milestone was a beacon of hope. Yet, in May of last year, a new shadow appeared on her lung. She endured radiation, and we clung to hope until October, only to be met with the devastating news of several more spots. She bravely began chemo again, but the sickness it brought was overwhelming.

At the end of October, Rhonda, with incredible strength, made the courageous decision to stop chemo and truly live every precious moment.

In the coming months, Rhonda and her husband are renewing their vows, a testament to their enduring love. They were hoping to take a hot air balloon ride and reached out to Stella’s Wish, humbly asking for help in making this profound dream a reality.

Stella’s Wish Foundation was able to provide gift cards for their family to use together at iFly.

381. Kelly Marston

Kelly was homeless and on his own at the age of 14, but refused to give up. He worked hard, put himself through school, and eventually built a life filled with purpose, love, and stability. He met his wife, started a family, and they now have three amazing boys. He had a job he loved and was finally enjoying the peace he had fought so hard to find.

Then, everything changed when Kelly was diagnosed with stage 4 GIST cancer. Since then, life has become a blur of treatments, appointments, and uncertainty. But through it all, his biggest hope is to create beautiful, lasting memories with his family—while he still feels well enough to do so.

Kelly wished for a family trip to Universal Studios Orlando. A few days of laughter and magic would give them a much-needed escape and the chance to simply enjoy life together.

Kelly’s wish was granted and SWF sent the family to Universal Studios in Florida for four days.

380. Daryl Davis

Daryl is a big baseball fan, and he hoped to go to a Yankees game since he has never seen a professional baseball game. Stella’s Wish made this happen by sending Daryl and Kristen to New York. They were able to watch the Yankees game and even went on the field for batting practice!

“The trip was great! The Yankees were wonderful and generous with their time. Batting practice was surreal because when you’re down in the field, you realize how huge the stadium is and how far they are hitting those balls lol!

We got to meet and get a picture with Anthony Volpe which was fantastic! Our seats were phenomenal too! You could see everything! We also were given a tour of the press box, press room and met the sports about we for WFAN radio, who Daryl regularly listens to if the games aren’t on networks we have access to. It was all very cool!

Logistics of traveling there were a bit challenging due to Daryl’s current state but we managed. Thankfully we decided to bring a transport chair to get him around. Otherwise, it would have been very difficult. It’s NY after all….not very ADA friendly lol.

Thank you so much for everything!! Daryl really enjoyed the experience and we are both so grateful for the generosity and kindness from you and Stella’s Wish. It was definitely an experience we won’t forget! ” 🙏🙏🩷
